So here we are, launching all your favorite Spring Sessions for you and Lisa to play with!

And of course!

Every year we have been SO BLESSED to have fresh flowers for all our little shop keepers, from one of our very own local growers at Peace Arch Nursery! 

And every year since we began in 2013, Peace Arch Nursery’s has not only given us gorgeous, healthy and vibrant flowers ….

They have ALSO been donating another $100 shopping spree to one of YOU who book in!

We are doing many draws on Mothers Day, and one of them will be for my special clients who book the flower shop sessions!

YOU will be entered in along with the Mommy and Me clients and we will be choosing 2 winners!!

 

 

 

Lets get to it:

First, read all the details here, and if there is something we have not covered, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Where: Location will be sent with your invoice! (Surrey or Langley)

When: May 4th from 3pm-7pm & and May 5th from 1-6pm

Cost: $145.00 (Add up to two siblings for $25.00 each) Each extra sibling will include 1 extra free image. If you have more then 3 children you must book a back to back session, which is also recommended if you want to have more time and more images. Please ask Tara at bookings@lisamariephotography.ca for more details.

Whats Included: A full gallery of the best photos and your choice of a minimum of 5 professionally edited high resolution digital photos in an online downloadable gallery. All full resolution photos delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are!

Age Recommendation: 0 to 100 Years. The back drop is quite large this year so big kids are welcome too! For babies who can not sit on their own, * please note *I do have baskets to help prop the new little ones who need help, just note there is less poses we can do with a baby who can not sit up.

What to wear? Please feel free to wear gardening clothing! Spring attire, little boys in shorts, overalls, jeans, or if you are a little girl age 1-8 then we can supply you with one of our cream coloured dresses and lovely flower halos ( <—click the link to check them out) :) *NOTE* NO FLORESCENT CLOTHING!!ESPECIALLY DRESSES AND TOPS, these will reflect onto your child’s skin!

Mini session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start. Yes these are quick session times, but as you can imagine with up to 24 slots in a day, and between 24-72 kids, babies and toddlers coming and going the unexpected can and does happen. Please be patient and do not interrupt the current session. We are all moms, dads, and guardians, we all know that things happen. Please allot at least an extra 30 mins before you need to be anywhere else after your session time. Thank-you for your understanding.

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids!

A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY. BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

YES- You can bring treats and bribes for children to earn during any portrait session. (Husbands love fruit snacks too!) PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary and when EARNED! DO NOT give your children anything that you can not take away from them. Please just keep this in mind when you are booking mini sessions. All finished photos will receive editing, but not retouching or extreme measures such as “swapping heads” ;), please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol)

Please note that our turn around time is approximately 2-3 weeks but sometimes longer if we are very busy or there is unforeseen cicomstances. Holiday themes are always delivered prior to the holiday but not guarenteed. Lisa is full time shooting several days a week, a momma, and unlike some other companies, each image is edited very carefully by Lisa Marie. This does take time, so if you are unable to accept the turn around times, then its best you let us know if there is a special circumstance so we can let you know if we can get them to you sooner. This may mean that you need to find another photographer, but we will do our best to accommodate you :)*

Every year we have made some magical mommy memories.

 

 

 

And this year will be no different!

 

This year we will be setting up a cozy outdoor bed in the apple orchard, under the gorgeous blossoms for moms and their kids to snuggle and enjoy.

 

 

 

 

 

And lets not forget, we want to meet grandma! All the moms and all the kids should come!!

 

 

And becasue I can, I will be bringing our Mommy and kid matching Tutus!

 

 

Lets get to it!

 

 

When: April 28th, 29th, & May 6th

Place to be: The Historical Stewart Farm House 13723 Crescent Road Surrey BC

Where: 13723 Crescent Road
Surrey, British Columbia, Canada

Arrival Time: Please arrive only 5-10 mins prior to your shoot time given booking. Late arrivals will cut into your session time. Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Session time: 20 mins

Cost $195.00 with 7 selects included. PLEASE bring a $2 donation per person for the Farm House, I will be matching all donations, its always nice for us to give back to our amazing city and preserve its fine history :)

No one will have to prove income or single hood.  So I ask that when you are booking two sessions for you and your single momma, please consider that sessions are limited, and this is not Buy 1, get 1 1/2 off. This is you and I giving a gift. Being a single mom myself, I also have kids who need shoes too, and each session that I gift with you is one session less then I can take on…. wait, maybe someone should buy me one!! :P

 

Sessions Include: A full viewing gallery of the best photos and your choice of 7 edited images (more images available for purchase when viewing gallery is sent) delivered High Res, via downloadable gallery to your email address, all images are focusing on mothers/grandmothers/children, immediate families only please. Groups of up to 5 members per session. If you are planning to get aunty and cousins involved please inquire as to how you may book back to back sessions. *note, these are not family sessions, no dads please :) Just cutie pie little boys allowed!

 

 

 

Attire: Recommended attire for kids and mommy’s is casual yet not TOO casual. NO sweat pants and old tennis shoes, moms leave your lulu’s at home! If you are getting in the Tutu, dont forget the tops and bottoms!!

Think, cute, trendy, and comfortable YES you can go a little matchy match, its allowed.

Please note that our turn around time is approximately 2-3 weeks but sometimes longer if we are very busy or there is unforeseen cicomstances. Holiday themes are always delivered prior to the holiday but not guarenteed. Lisa is full time shooting several days a week, and unlike some other companies, each image is edited very carefully by Lisa Marie. This does take time, so if you are unable to accept the turn around times, then its best you let us know if there is a special circumstance so we can let you know if we can get them to you sooner. This may mean that you need to find another photographer, but we will do our best to accommodate you :)*

Its not your fault. You did your best. It seems like its what were suppose to do right?? I mean school photos are a right of passage!! I am here to give you PERMISSION to KNOCK THAT $h!t out!

 

 

Just say no to digitally enhanced, fake smiling, and rather expensive ordeals where our children sent off in the morning looking pretty and perfect, but from then to that stool they all file in and out of, and though our teachers do the best they can, almost every year we are disappointed!

So for the 6th year now in a row, we are offering our super sweet classic, vintage back to school sessions so you can rest easy and mark these days that fly by.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When:  October 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th <— 29th, only a few openings).

I have decided to do them a little later in the season this year due to VERY HIGH DEMAND after some of you STILL try those school ones ;)

Where: The sessions will be done at the Cloverdale Studio. Location will be sent with invoice.

 

 

All sessions include: A full gallery of the best photos and your choice of a minimum of 5 professionally edited, high resolution digital photos in an online downloadable gallery. All full resolution photos delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are!

Cost: $125 for each session slot. *SIBLING DEAL* you MAY add a sibling $25 each, up to 3 kids per session. If you have more than 3 kids please book 2 sessions and there will be no charged for your 4th child. (that’s right, buy 3, get 1 free! LOL (sorry could not help myself) If you have 4 or more kids you deserve a little break and a big hug of wine every day for a job well done! (this is for immediate SIBLINGS only)

ALSO mini session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start please be patient and do not interrupt the current session, we are all moms and dads and know sometimes other little ones need a little extra few mins at times and no one wants any kids to be left out. Halloween 2017

 

Halloween themed mini sessions are BACK, so grab your little candy munching kiddos, and head down to the studio where I will have a new spooky set up, with so many fun props to get as spooky or sweet as you want! But dont forget the pumpkins!! (yes big enough to put your babies and toddlers into!)

 

 

This years set just needs your kiddos!!

 

 

 

 

 

Costumes are welcome, but not necessary, and you are also able to bring a second set of cute fall clothes too if we have time we will change!

Arrival Time: Please arrive about 5-10 mins prior to the session time you are given. Please have children DRESSED before you enter the studio. There is a waiting area, but it is not private. If you need to change in session, please note that will take from your allotted session time. You do not need come earlier then 15 minutes as the waiting area is not big enough too many families. Please know that late arrivals will cut into your session time.

Session time: 15 mins
Cost $125.00 (Add up to two siblings for $25.00 each) If you have more then 3 children you must book a back to back session. Each sibling add on will include 1 extra image.

But just note there is less poses we can do with a baby who can not sit up. Moms and dads will also need to help spot.

Yes these are quick session times, but as you can imagine with up to 24 slots in a day, and between 24-72 kids, babies and toddlers coming and going the unexpected can and does happen. Please be patient and do not interrupt the current session. We are all moms, dads, and guardians, we all know that things happen. Please allot at least an extra 30 mins before you need to be anywhere else after your session time. Thank-you for your understanding.

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids!

A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY. BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

Watermelon Mini’s 2017

The YUMMIEST mini session of the summer!

I absolutely LOVED doing these last year, so i have to squeeze these in. I LOVED everything about these. The colours, the kids, and ill tell you a secret, watermelon is my FAVORITE thing to eat…. having 10-15 left over watermelons isn’t the end of the world :)

 

 

Dates:

These will ONLY be happening ONE DAY ONLY!! August 16th from 2:30-7:30pm.

Price: $145

Sibling Add On: $25. This will include 1 extra final image.

 

 

What to expect:

Sessions are 20 minutes long. Kids will be eating watermelon, and I will be capturing it all, BOOM! Easy peasy!

Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

 

 

Attire:

We suggest that your ones stick with the basics. Keeping it playful and childlike. Think timeless summer styles. Little girls would be best in plain white bottom summer dresses or similar tops with shorts. Perhaps a muted/neutral print “sally”, “pillowcase”, linen, vintage dresses. Nothing too bright in colour or loud in print. And not “Dressy”. Little boys should think jeans, jean shorts, and PLAIN white or light coloured t-shirts, sleeveless or no shirt. Barefeet, sandals, SIMPLE sneakers, dirty feet and grass stained knees are OK ;) *Absolutely NO florescent colours, and I strongly recommend not to wear anything with logos or character clothing*

Kids will be encouraged to get sticky and eat, so a change of clothes and some wet wipes should be packed! We provide the mess, but you will be responsible for cleaning up your kiddo :)

*note*: Please make sure you bring an activity like colouring or a game, as well as water and some non-sticky (non-filling) snacks (we will provide that ;). Sessions can run behind from time to time, and we want you to be prepared :) Please read the disclaimer below for more ways to help prep for your session!

DO NOT bring anything with your children that you can NOT take away. If you do not want “Blankie”, or “su-su” or iPads, etc in the photos, then bringing them and allowing them to have them right up to walking in and seeing me and yanking them away, is not a great plan. Bringing things to keep them busy is a great idea, but special comfort items should be avoided, unless you are ok with them in the photos.

You can help make your session more successful by prepping your children before even leaving the house :) For older children, use a point/reward system to earn something awesome after and I can keep that going in the session. For younger children, keep them distracted and happy as that is what my strategy is in the sessions well! (for older kids like mine, they just do what they are told now or else!! lol

You have a lot of power to help in this session way before seeing me! If you would like some more tips, please feel free to ask when you are booking and I am happy to give you a call!

Please just keep this in mind as well as REALITY when you are booking mini sessions. All of the photos here are real kids in a real session, just like yours. But not all kids will do exactly the same thing. I do not force poses or have expectations when any session starts. I work with the children who are in front of me, and adjust my agenda as we go through the session. I want every session to be successful and forcing kids to do anything usually downs work. So try come into every mini session with a open mind and respect who your children are. Take my lead, and try to have some fun with us :)
