  Welcome back to our 10th annual Back to School sessions in the

Apple Orchard at the historical Stewart farm house!

 

 

 

 

While its true… you could do back to school photos at school…..

OR

 

Most of you know the drill, but for those who dont, this is the best new tradition you could start! Come meet me at the apple orchard with your little ones,

and get the back to school photos that you know will not just turn out, but be some of the cutest and timeless photos on your wall :)

Each session includes many poses, playful and traditional. Plus an optional headshot against the historical barn walls.

October 3rd 10-6 pm

Dont worry moms and dads!! I have added a new BIG desk for all those growing monkeys!

Price:

$145 each session.

*SIBLING DEAL* you can add a sibling at $25 each. Up to 3 kids per session. If you have more than 3 kids please book 2 sessions and there will be no charged for your 4th child.

(that’s right, buy 3 get 1 free! LOL (sorry could not help myself) If you have 4 or more kids you deserve a little break and a big hug of wine every day for a job well done! (this is for immediate SIBLINGS only),

EACH EXTRA SIBLING will add 1 extra photo.

Book with a Friend BONUS!!

We often get asked to book cousins and friends together or back to back sessions. And this is something we love accommodating! It does give you more time and I dont mind squishing in friends and cousins together if time permits, so this summer if you book two sessions, back to back, you will get $50 ($25 each) off your session fee!

PLEASE bring a $2 donation for each child, this will go to the Historical Farm House who generously allows us to use this amazing property!

If you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted or embarrassed quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Attire:

Back to school attire is up to you moms and dads :) School uniforms are welcome, or favorite back to school outfits!

We recommend that you stay away from bright florescent tops, character clothing, and logos.

*note*: Please make sure you bring a activity like colouring or a game, as well as water and some non-sticky snacks. Sessions can run behind from time to time, and we want you to be prepared :) Please read the disclaimer below for more ways to help prep for your session!

 

What you receive:

A full gallery of the best photos and your choice of a minimum of 5 professionally edited high resolution digital photos in an online downloadable gallery. (Plus sibling extras) All full resolution photos delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are!You will have the option when speaking with Lisa to purchase more then 3 images. Prices will determine by how any you choose.

Age Recommendation:

Younger kiddos who are not in school are welcome too!

Recommended sitting to 12. Unless older siblings can hold younger babies.

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids!

A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY.

BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

YES- You can bring treats and bribes for children to earn during any portrait session. (Husbands love fruit snacks too!) PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary and when EARNED!

DO NOT give your children anything that you can not take away from them. Please just keep this in mind when you are booking mini sessions. All finished photos will receive editing, but not retouching or extreme measures such as “swapping heads” ;), please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol)

Disclaimer

Mini sessions are in no way guaranteed. You are given session time with Lisa only. Lisa makes every effort to work with your family and kids, but she can not be responsible for members who are not cooperating/smiling for photos, this includes fussy babies, toddlers who will not pose, teens who are stinky and miserable husbands! Please also note anyone saying, “oh but you can just photoshop that right?” will get a pinch :D Session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start please be patient and do not interrupt the current session, we are all moms and dads and know sometimes other little ones need a little extra few mins at times and no one wants any kids to be left out. Allot an extra 15 mins after before you need to be anywhere else! Thank-you for your understanding.

Please note that our turn around time is approximately 2-3 weeks but sometimes longer if we are very busy or there is unforeseen circumstances. Holiday themes are always delivered prior to the holiday but not guaranteed. Lisa is full time shooting several days a week, and unlike some other companies, each image is edited very carefully by Lisa Marie. This does take time, so if you are unable to accept the turn around times, then its best you let us know if there is a special circumstance so we can let you know if we can get them to you sooner. This may mean that you need to find another photographer, but we will do our best to accommodate you :)*

FALL MINI SESSIONS ARE OPEN FOR BOOKING!!!

These sessions are perfect for those who are looking for just a mini session and just need a quick update for the wall.

That can include just a kids sessions, maternity session, couples and families!

 

 

The dates have been set for the annual mini session event. This will be our 6th year, and sells out every year! I cant wait to see all my families again!

I have set 2 weekends again to help with your busy schedules.

(October 15th and 16th has been CANCELLED due to severe weather coming)

Starting this year in honour of an amazing friend who supported me since since I began this little company, and who like many of you have returned every year since you blessed me with the honour, and who I grew to love and admire, I will be donating $10 from each session to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. We all lost Tiffany this past August from breast cancer, but Tiffany’s team: Tiffany’s Sisters From Other Misters continues to run in her honour, and for all of us who are at risk, who love someone who may face or those of us who will face this devastating disease. Who’s Included:

  

Up to 5 members. ($25 fee for extra members up to 6 members per session) Please book 2 back to back sessions if you have more family members. PETS?? Yes, but PLEASE remember you have a short time slot, I recommend bringing your little (or big) loved one and a FRIEND who can take your pet away once we get a few shots :)

 

 

 

 

What if it RAINS?? These sessions are rain or shine! This is BC, we adapt :) and the farm house is an excellent locations to shoot rain or shine, with several barns, and covered areas. Every year has worked out amazing, we have had a little rain, even some SNOW in the past and with them being mini sessions it seems to work awesome, I’m fast and move quickly so no-one gets too cold. Make sure to bring COATS for the kids even for in-between takes shots and umbrellas (if needed)!! Redwood Park has massive trees and is great even if its sprinkling, but in a heavy rain we will relocate but NOT CANCEL unless of emergency….

 

 

What to wear?? Oh this is the best time to start your shopping! Fall clothing is out in stores now, Pick a color pallet you want to work with and have some fun! Its ok to not be very “matchy”, but its also very appealing to take your pallet and find fun ways to blend your family together.
