Huck Finn Inspired Sessions!

And another sweet summer session I have been working on is the amazing, Huck Finn inspired sessions!! !

I am absolutely in love with these as I am sure you are too!

Dates:

You can book these Huck Finn sessions ON DEMAND any week day evening between 3pm-7pm from now to September :)

OR Come to one of the MINI SESSION DATES HERE: August 20th and 23rd from 3pm-7:30pm at Crescent Park Pond – 2610 – 128 Street, Surrey (its about a 2-5 min walk from the parking lot)

Price:

Mini Session Dates are $145

On Demand Dates are $225

Sibling Add On: $25

Sessions are 20 minutes long. The pond is WATER, so keep that in mind when you are booking. *This session will requite parent participation*. I will need one parent per younger child if they are a flight risk. I am IN the water when shooting, so it is up to you to keep them safe. The pond is only a few inches deep where we shoot, so I dont have too many concerns ;) Parents are able to be within arms reach at all times. If one of the kids did jump in,its not the end of the world and I would most likely keep shooting anyway :)

Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted or embarrassed quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Attire:

Little boys and girls should think jeans, jean shorts, and PLAIN white or light coloured t-shirts, sleeveless or no shirt. Barefeet, sandals, SIMPLE sneakers, converse, dirty feet and grass stained knees are OK ;) *Absolutely NO florescent colours, and I strongly recommend not to wear anything with logos or character clothing*

*note*: Please make sure you bring a activity like colouring or a game, as well as water and some non-sticky snacks. Sessions can run behind from time to time, and we want you to be prepared :) Please read the disclaimer below for more ways to help prep for your session!

What you receive:

A full gallery of the best photos and your choice of a minimum of 5 professionally edited high resolution digital photos in an online downloadable gallery. All full resolution photos delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are!You will have the option when speaking with Lisa to purchase more then 3 images. Disclaimer- Mini sessions are in no way guaranteed. In a perfect world, this would run perfectly on time, every time and everyones children will be well, happy and do everything we ask of them! But this is not always the case now is it! Not even with your kids right ;) Lisa makes every effort to work with your family and kids, but she can not be responsible for members who are not cooperating/smiling for photos, this includes fussy babies, toddlers who will not pose, teens who are stinky and miserable husbands (bring treats and bribes, the husbands love fruit snacks too!)

PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary!

DO NOT bring anything with your children that you can NOT take away. If you do not want “Blankie”, or “su-su” or iPads, etc in the photos, then bringing them and allowing them to have them right up to walking in and seeing me and yanking them away, is not a great plan. Bringing things to keep them busy is a great idea, but special comfort items should be avoided, unless you are ok with them in the photos.

You can help make your session more successful by prepping your children before even leaving the house :) For older children, use a point/reward system to earn something awesome after and I can keep that going in the session. For younger children, keep them distracted and happy as that is what my strategy is in the sessions well! (for older kids like mine, they just do what they are told now or else!! lol

You have a lot of power to help in this session way before seeing me! If you would like some more tips, please feel free to ask when you are booking and I am happy to give you a call!

Please just keep this in mind as well as REALITY when you are booking mini sessions. All of the photos here are real kids in a real session, just like yours. But not all kids will do exactly the same thing. I do not force poses or have expectations when any session starts. I work with the children who are in front of me, and adjust my agenda as we go through the session. I want every session to be successful and forcing kids to do anything usually downs work. So try come into every mini session with a open mind and respect who your children are. Take my lead, and try to have some fun with us :)

Please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol) Please also note anyone saying, “oh but you can just photoshop that right?” will get a pinch :D ALSO mini session can run a little, (ok, a lot sometimes) behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start please be patient and do not interrupt the current session, we are all moms and dads and know sometimes other little ones need a little extra few mins at times and no one wants any kids to be left out. Please keep this in mind before you need to be anywhere else!

Firefly Sessions

Hello! I am so proud to introduce a new Summer magical summer session this year that I have been working on for a few months! I had the idea this spring and have been playing with different ways to bring these to you as a “mini” type session with out too many extra costs since we dont have actual fireflies! I think we have a perfect formula and are ready to share with you :)

Dates:

You can book these firefly sessions ON DEMAND any week day evening between 3pm-7pm from now to September :)

OR Come to one of the MINI SESSION DATES HERE: August 13th at Red Wood Park 17900 20 Avenue, Surrey from 3-7pm OR August 15th in South Surrey 3136 McBride Ave, Surrey from 4-8pm

Price:

Mini Session Dates are $145

On Demand Dates are $175

Sibling Add On: $55. (Due to the nature of these magical images, sibling fee’s are set more then usual. Each photo will require several compositions, and the more people IN the photos, the more needed.) This will include 1 extra final image.

What to expect:

Sessions are 20-30 minutes long. Depending on which location you choose, there will be some different props, but ultimately lots of cute firefly fun :) Kids will be posed (best as can! lol) and interacting with the props. We try to make it lots of fun and play games so they dont aways realize they are posing ;) *This session will requite parent participation*. I will need one parent to help hold a little light for some of the poses. In order to create some the magic, and effects of a darker environment, we will need you to help! I find your little ones are more comfortable with you holding the light at close proximity and I will show you how :)

Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Attire:

We suggest that your ones stick with the basics. Keeping it playful and childlike. Think timeless summer styles. Little girls would be best in plain white bottom summer dresses or similar tops with shorts. Perhaps a muted/neutral print “sally”, “pillowcase”, linen, vintage dresses. Nothing too bright in colour or loud in print. And not “Dressy”. Little boys should think jeans, jean shorts, and PLAIN white or light coloured t-shirts, sleeveless or no shirt. Barefeet, sandals, SIMPLE sneakers, dirty feet and grass stained knees are OK ;) *Absolutely NO florescent colours, and I strongly recommend not to wear anything with logos or character clothing*

Within a week of your session, Lisa will send you a unfinished gallery and book a phone consultation with you ASAP so you dont need to come into the office. Together you and she will chose of a minimum of 3 professionally edited high resolution digital photos to have Firefly magic included in your session fee. Please understand, unlike regular mini sessions, these will be composite photos and require a significant amount of post processing. Once you have chosen, Those full resolution photos you choose are delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are!

You will have the option when speaking with Lisa to purchase more then 3 images. Prices will determine by how any you choose.

Age Recommendation:

Recommended sitting to 12. Unless older siblings can hold younger babies.

Recommended Session Locations for On Demand:

Redwood Park: Wonderful magicle forest with trails, tall trees, or tall grass. Hours for this location can be earlier with all the thick trees, 2-7pm. *(times may adjust later in the season) 17900 20 Avenue, Surrey.

Crescent Park: Another wooded area, but also a cute little pond. Hours for this location are best between 4-7pm.*(times may adjust later in the season) 2610 – 128 Street, Surrey.

Blackie Spit Off Beach: Back lit when sunny with very tall green grass, as well as yellow/white tall grass. Hours for this location work best 6-8pm. 3136 McBride Ave, Surrey.

Super Hero’s UNITE!!

Thats right guys!! Its time to get all of Lisa Marie’s SUPER KIDS out to the park and capture some Super Hero’s in the making!

This is such a fun session. I dont know why I have never done this before!! My boys are super hero crazy as I am sure your kids are too!

When I was planning those awesome Princes Dream sessions, I knew I had to team them up with some super awesome super hero fun :)

Of course, we will have to study up on our favorite super heroes!

Then we will have to get our flight skills in check!!

This session is sure to bring out lots of giggles!

I know!! Lets get to the details right??

This session is being offered as a mini session and On Demand. Sessions are 15-20 minutes depending on if there is a sibling joining. Siblings are welcome for an extra fee.

OK… SO HOW DO I BOOK???

First, read all the details here, and if there is something we have not covered, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Where: Dates are July 15th 6-8:30pm July 16th 5-8:30pm and July 29th from 4pm-8pm. (Please read below for ON DEMAND OPTIONS)

Cost $135.00 (Add up to two siblings for $25.00 each) Each extra sibling will include 1 extra free image. If you have more then 3 children you must book a back to back session, which is also recommended if you want to have more time and more images. PRINCESS AND SUPER HERO BONUS! If you are booking the Princess Dreams Session for one child, and Super Hero for another, we are happy to give you a booking bonus of $50 off your second session

*For example. If you have 1 little girl who wants to do a princess session and 2 little boys who want to do the super hero, then you would pay the Princess session fee, and then we would take $50 off the Super Hero session.

Attire!!: YES, I have CAPES and MASKS! I have red capes, and Pink capes, and a few black ones. You are welcome to bring your own :) Super hero costumes are not needed. We have some to use as props, but we are not aiming to make this about those heroes. We are aiming to capture YOUR hero. Kids are welcome to wear their favorite costume for a few photos as well. Please keep in mind, this is not halloween. Its imagination time! Do not bring children IN costumes. We may have a harder time getting them out. We will save that for the end. Please put your kids in very simple attire. You can see in the sample shots here that the kids are wearing very basic clothing. Converse, sneakers, sandals, boots, Jean shorts, white tank tops are perfect. No logos, no loud prints.

Age Recommendation: Recommended sitting to 18. If you have smaller babies and siblings that can hold them, you are welcome to include them (we DO have baby capes :). We won’t have too many options to prop babies on their own if they can sit up so keep that in mind.

Princess Dream Summer Photo Shoot

Its my pleasure to introduce to you my first Summer Session Event.

Lisa Marie’s Princess Dreams

One of a few special events that I am SO excited to offer my clients!

I have been waiting all year to put my vision together and see how these would turn out. I have seen many different kinds of princess sessions, and I wanted to do something different. Something special. Having 3 boys, I honestly had no idea that would love these as much as I do. I hope you and your little ladies will as well :)

These are not like my usually “mini” session events. This session is a bit longer, as we want the little girls to enjoy their time and feel like a real princess!

This special session is being offered a couple different ways. For those of you who can make it out. I will be setting up 2 Days this summer, where you can book a 30 minute session with me in our special little spot. A couple weeks ago I had a last minute cancelation and just happened to be close to some sweet little antique shops, so I’ve accidentally added a few new (ok old, yet gorgeous vintage) props and sets to our little princess palace. I have had a lot of fun creating this set for you all!

Dont worry! I have not forgotten about my super hero lovers!

I will be sending out the dates for those next week :)

Lovely little girls, antique vanity, lace, pearls, crowns, white satin gloves, and a bubble bath? Yup, way too cute for words!

No, none of these sweet little girls are models, if you can believe it or not. Just little girls playing princess :)

Ok, ok, time to hook you up!

First we are offering these two days:

July 15th from 2pm-8:30pm

July 30th From 2pm-8:30pm

Sessions are 30 minutes long on these two special days per child. Please understands that these sessions are not meant for more then one child at a time. If you have more then one child, we will be offering a 50% discount on a second session. Second child will recive the same amount of photos and we will be adding an extra 15 minutes. Each child will get their own time as well as a couple shots with her sister :)

Place to be: We have literally carved out a special little spot in South Surrey. Address and directions will be sent after payment is made.

Arrival Time: Please arrive only 5-10 mins prior to your shoot time given booking. Late arrivals will cut into your session time. Attire: We suggest that your little princess arrives in simple attire such as a cute pair of shorts and tank top. Please note WE ARE NOT PROVIDING GOWNS for each little girl. However we do have the full pink tutus you see above as well as some cream lace dresses in various sizes. You are welcome to bring any gown you wish, or none at all. These are focused on the “behind the scene” of princess life. We have gowns that we use for props, but they are not allowed to be worn. We are not promoting a “disney themed” session, but realize that your little princess may want to have her photos in her favorite little gown and that is totally ok with us :)

I am aware that summer is busy, and that these dates may not work for everyone. Or that some may want some extra time and attention.

ON DEMAND sessions are when we come out just for your little princess. We will set up her little palace, either at our location, or one we mutually agree upon. We will spend an hour playing dress up and princess’s with your little sweetie making it all about her.

The cost of this session is $465.00.

Me and My Daddy Sessions 2017

Just like the name of this blog says, this session is for kids of all ages and their DADS!

Thats true Dad’s! This session is all about you!

(Note* Photos come in colour too. I was trying to be dramatic ;P)

My goal this year is to really reach out to you MEN. All of you who have children. Men who still have their dads around!

Bring grandpa too!!

Every year we get dozens of woman booking Mommy and Me sessions. Single moms, married mom. Moms who bring out their sisters and daughters and mothers. Ive had 4 generations of woman and kids at these sessions.

But the dads are in no way taking this as seriously! I know that your busy.

I know you hate getting your photo taken without a beer or fish in your hand.

Grab that baby girl and try flowers instead!

I know that you probably feel like you take enough photos right? Selfies? etc.. You are in a few photos with your kids right??

Selfies are great in a pinch. But your phone won’t freeze giggles like these. (mostly due to slow shutter speeds, but also because how will you tickle those bellies and hold the phone! See? You need me! :D)

No, no, no. This will not DO!

As a Daddies girl myself…. I can tell you hands down, that my photos with my dad are SO important to me.

Like YOU are so important to your kids. Its time to start making these moments a priority.

There is 5 important kinds of dynamics in a family. There is the entire family together. There is the kids alone. The parents alone, and then Mom n’ kids and Dad n’ kids…

Each dynamic when broken down is SO unique. Moms, you need to hook the men up in your life and get them in. Grab grandpa and uncles too. This is an amazing opportunity (excuse) to grab some memories that not many get to.

Only an uncle can get this face!

To all you single dads out there….. (GUESS WHAT??? This is allowed!)

You dont need a woman to hook you up! You are allowed to book a photographer and get some professional photos done with your kids too! Of course you can!

Families change. Yes thats true.

But that does not make them any less important.

No matter what your situation is.

There are MANY incredible dads who support, care for, and share the responsibility in raising their kids, even single dads who do it all on their own for many different reasons. Dads who are busting their…. buns ;) being mom and dad. There is amazing step dads, and uncles helping to raise nieces and nephews. Grandpas who are still chasing 2 year olds and being amazing roll models.

Yet for some reasons in all my 6 years being a family photographer,

I have never once had a single dad ever call and book a family session for himself and his kids. Not one time.

Moms do! Married Moms will book their husbands and boyfriends in for Daddy and Me sessions without them even knowing, and send the Dads on their way to me…because they KNOW how special you are to your kids. This is a wake up call guys!

Do you think this guy knows how much he means to that little dude?

The woman book you in becasue they know how much everyone in your family will cherish those images forever…

I’ve even had girlfriends book sessions for their boyfriends and his kids… (#truestory)

But NOT ONE Dad has ever arranged a session for him and his kids on his own. WHY??

Maybe because of this? (teehee)

Pull up those big boy pants and lets DO THIS!!! I promise you, its not as scary as it seems! You won’t be alone! This is where you get to show up and I do the work!

As I did with the Single Moms, I am offering all Single Dads a 10% off discount. So take advantage of this, and grab those kiddies and let me show you, we got this!

I have spread the sessions over two weekends as I did with the Mommy and Me sessions as I know that alternating weekends happen, so hopefully this works! If you can’t make these dates work, please ask Jennifer at bookings@lisamariephotography.ca about booking a a ‘la cart Daddy ‘n Me for the month of June on a time that works for you. It will cost a little more, but it will be worth it!

When: June 10th & 11th, 17th and Fathers Day the 18th. I have opened up Fathers Day for a few hours in hopes some of you will get your families together and come see me!

Place to be: We are heading to the Crescent Beach Area. Exact Location will be sent with directions a week prior to your session :)

Arrival Time: Please arrive only 5-10 mins prior to your shoot time given booking. Late arrivals will cut into your session time. DADS ‘n KIDS!! Dads, you will have the option to wear a RED Cape/mask, or BLUE Cape/mask. The red capes are intended to be worn with Dads and Boys, and the Blue Capes are intended to be worn with your little girls!

We suggest that you bring plain matching T-Shirts to wear with the kids.

If you have BOYS, bring either ALL BLUE T-shirts (with Red capes) or ALL YELLOW T-shirts (with Red Capes)

If you have GIRLS, We suggest that you all wear WHITE T-shirts, OR the girls wear BLUE and YOU wear PINK :)

Flower Shop Mini Sessions!!

Flower Shop sessions are BACK and the shop is almost OPEN!!

I have teamed up with local nursery owners from Peace Arch Nursery’s who are supplying us with AMAZING flowers for our live flower shop this year! The photos in this blog are from last Flower Shop session. Every year its a little different, but still sweet as sweet can be. We will have a new stand, and new flowers of course!! ha!

Im not that funny am I… lets just get back to cute kids, those sell sessions much better then I do!!

I love all seasons. I do. Each one has beauty in its one way. But I have to say, this moment now between this dreary rain and the blossoms budding, has been TOO DAMN LONG!!!!!

I am SO looking forward to this session and the Mommy and Me ones that are happening the weekend before!

Mommy and Me Moments Are Back!!

And by mommy, I mean all mommy’s of all ages and all the kiddos :)

I’ve gone to visit and the garden…. and it is budding just in time to Celebrate the best kind of people I know!

If you are anything like me you are always the one behind the camera snapping cute photos of the kids and dad, or the only ones you are in are where your holding your iPhone up high right?? Well here is your chance, grab your kids, open up those Pinterest outfit ideas and book your session! I know all you do. I know how hard you work and how you make sure your kids and partners going strong and happy. Now lets imagine if we put a fraction of that effort into ourselves and had… lets say adorable photos of us with our kids?

The Spring Princess

Once upon a time, there lived a wee little Spring Princess, in a wee little spring garden that she loved with her big gient heart.

And one fine day, a handsome little boy with his own spring garden, brought over a gift to share!

I think the wee little Spring Princess, was delighted by this surprise!

She thanked the handsome little boy and accepted this special Spring gift!!

“What a lovely Spring day! Wont you join me for some sweet Spring tea?” She said in her sweetest little wee voice…

Holding her wee spring tea pot, she she poured her sweet spring tea…

The handsome little boy was very pleased to be having sweet Spring tea with a wee Spring princess :)

The handsome little boy and the sweet Spring Princess bloomed a special Spring friendship that lasted forever and ever….. The End….

Valentines Mini Sessions 2017

Happy New Year Everyone!

Come join me in teh studio for this years Dreamy Valentines Mini Session!

You voted and HERE IT IS!! The set for 2017 Valentines Mini’s!

AND for the first time, I am adding a BONUS! Each child will be receiving a custom 8X10 sheet of printable Valentines to hand out!

First you must book in! Details on booking are below!

Then come in for your awesome session with Lisa Marie!

In 5 days or less, you will receive a your full gallery VIA email. In that gallery will be your options for which Valentine you want to use, as well as the photo! You will be sent back an 8X10 resolution sheet with that Valentine for you to print/cut and decide how you wish to send them!

There will be more themes to choose from!

HOW DO I BOOK???

First, read all the details here, and if there is something we have not covered, please don’t hesitate to ask!

BONUS: This year we are adding a 8X10 sheet of your little Valentines that you will get to print and hand out! Perfect for at school! Just write your name and number on the back and use them for play date cars too! There will be 6-8 Valentines per sheet. You can order as many as you need from any lab or print them yourself!

Age Recommendation: Recommended sitting to 100 Years. The back drop is quite large this year so big kids are welcome too!

If a sibling is able to hold a younger baby up thats ok, as well as I do have baskets to help prop the new little ones who need help, just note there is less poses we can do with a baby who can not sit up.

Santa Mini 2016

ITS TRUE!!! SANTA IS COMING!!!

Please read through the entire blog before emailing. It will help you know exactly what is included and what to expect!

Our annual Santa Mini sessions are BACK! Every child will have a mini session with Christmas Props, as well as time with Santa! These are not just photo sessions, they are an experience.

Santa surprises the boys with a little MAGIC! $30 extra per session

Throw out your idea of the typical Santa visit though! No waiting in line and praying you get your kids on that big ole lap. We are not looking to replace tradition, but to enhance to it! We don’t pose your kiddos on Santa’s lap, and let him be the main event, we are focused on the kids 100%, their reactions, emotions and Santa is just an idea, and more of a “prop”.

These sessions are honestly the most memorable mini sessions I have ever done, HANDS DOWN. There is an element to these that I did not anticipate when I started doing them 6 years ago :) Being quick and having tons of experience with small kids makes for an excellent mini session photographer. But you add a big guy in a red suit with a beard, WHOA…this takes on something entirely new. I have never been so emotionally excited and exhausted after an event. The pure magical and sometimes horrific reactions had me and my team on our toes!

You can expect at least 5-10 choices without Santa and the same with Santa. Some galleries can have over 30 choices!

For this reason we added the “portrait” mini bonus in the beginning of the session with NO Santa to start!!

We do that so no matter what reaction your little ones have, you leave with some holiday magic :) *please note, it is not an option to just do Santa or the portrait session at a discount. If you are just looking for Holiday Mini’s with NO Santa, check out all the Holiday Mini Sessions

What can you expect?? ANYTHING!!!

That’s whats so different about these sessions. You really can’t predict most of the time what the reactions will be. With more time then just plopping your kid on some strangers lap, even kids who are a bit afraid sometimes can overcome that fear and pose with a scary 20 year old in a red suit ;)

And… sometimes, they are still a little nervous :)

And that’s perfectly imperfect as well!

I have to admit, there is a special place in my heart for ALL of these reactions! No matter what way your kiddo reacts, you have the memory forever. And let me tell you as a mom of a 20 year old (who also plays our UN-intimidating Jolly Santa)…. THESE ones are PRICELESS!!!! (literally there are no limitations on what you can do with gold like these!)

As I said, this is an experience!! One I look forward to sharing with you and your kids. OR TO SEND TO THE ELLEN SHOW!! :) You can choose to prep your kids and tell them what they are doing, or as most do, MAKE IT A SURPRISE!! You know you kids best. You may just be surprised as to how they react! I am looking forward to a couple of these kids above coming back this year. I can’t wait to see some of those fears turn into excitement :)

When: November 25, 26 & 27th 2016 NEWLY ADDED: Dec 4, 2016 – Quick before Santa goes back to the North Pole!!

Whats included: Each session this year is we will be 20 mins long, spending a little time before Santa arrives taking some Christmas themed photos, once we are set, Santa will come in and we will capture their first looks for you to cherish, YES some are absolutely magical and other times…. those looks can be….well, …frightful..hehe.. but these are timeless moments!!

Santa will pose with your children, give hugs and high fives, as well as give a candy cane and say goodbye. 1-2 weeks later you will receive a high resolution gallery with images via email. YOU get to choose your favourite 5 images (plus one extra per added sibling). Your gallery will have options for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are! As well as the options to purchase more images.

What to wear: Please feel free to bring your Christmas outfits, Christmas PJ’s and anything you choose, we will allow for 1 outfit change between Portrait session and Santa session so your welcome to bring 2 outfits. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE CHANGING OUTFITS WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Who is invited? All children, from newborn to 18 years! Sorry parents these are not for gown ups! No family sessions will be taken at this time, please check out our Christmas mini family sessions or inquire about booking your own family portrait session. IMMEDIATE siblings only. If you are booking with a friend or sister, you can request back to back session times and we will do our best to sneak in a few group shots of all the kids!

Cost: $195 OR ($225 if you would like to add some *photoshop magic* to a couple of your photos. Please see photos with added sparkles!, They are lab labled)

Cost includes both Christmas Themed Portrait session, Santa Mini session, Images and Candy!!! Add a sibling for only $25 up to 3 per session. Each added sibling will include one extra image.

If you have more then 3 children, please email us your details and we can quote you a fee that will allot for a little more time as well.

PLEASE READ!!

Mini session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start. Yes these are quick session times, but as you can imagine with up to 24 slots in a day, and between 24-72 kids, babies and toddlers coming and going the unexpected can and does happen. Please be patient and do not interrupt the current session. We are all moms, dads, and guardians, we all know that things happen. Please allot at least an extra 30 mins before you need to be anywhere else after your session time. Thank-you for your understanding.

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids! A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY. BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

YES- You can bring treats and bribes for children to earn during any portrait session. (Husbands love fruit snacks too!) PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary and when EARNED! DO NOT give your children anything that you can not take away from them. Please just keep this in mind when you are booking mini sessions. All finished photos will receive editing, but not retouching or extreme measures such as “swapping heads” ;), please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol)
