FALL MINI SESSIONS ARE OPEN FOR BOOKING!!!

 

 

These sessions are perfect for those who are looking for just a mini session and just need a quick update for the wall.

 

 

That can include just kids, maternity session, couples and families!

Fall Mini Sessions have 2 packages, same as last year!

 Package (A) $245 –  20 minutes long – include 7 final images.

Package (B) $350 – 30 minutes – includes 14 images.

 

Full FALL family sessions are also available! Full sessions are 45-60 minutes long where you and I choose a date, time and location that work best for you and your family. These are much more relaxed and designed for your families needs and any special requests. These are highly recommended for families who dont get regular annual photos, who may need a little more time to warm up, shy kiddos, larger families with busy kids who may need breaks, and families who would like to have more time and images for whatever reason to better reflect their own families style and uniqueness. You will receive approximately 50-100 finished images delivered where you get to choose 20 final select images in the comfort of your own home. With also the option to choose more. These sessions are $475

The dates have been set for the annual mini session event. This will be our 8th year, and sells out every year! I cant wait to see all my families again!

 

 

 

 

I have set 2 dates again to help with your busy schedules.

 October 17th and 18th at Redwood Park: located at 17900 20 Avenue, Surrey, BC

 

 

November 1st at Stewart Farm House:  located at 13723 Crescent Rd, Surrey

 

What you get: A full gallery for viewing, 5 professionally edited high resolution digital photos in an online downloadable gallery included in your session fee. All full resolution photos are delivered via email for instant download, sharing options on all social media sites, custom links for easy emailing, affordable printing options, and safe online storage for up to 10 years, as well as a free app for your smart phone where you can show off your gallery anywhere you are! Additional images available for purchase (pricing will be included in your gallery). Price: Your session times this year are 20 mins and the cost is $245

 

 

Who’s Included: Up to 5 immediate members. ($25 fee for extra members up to 6 members per session) Please book 2 back to back sessions if you have more family members. PETS?? Yes, but PLEASE remember you have a short time slot, I recommend bringing your little (or big) loved one and a FRIEND who can take your pet away once we get a few shots :)

What if it RAINS?? These sessions are rain or shine! This is BC, we adapt :) and the farm house is an excellent locations to shoot rain or shine, with several barns, and covered areas. Every year has worked out amazing, we have had a little rain, even some SNOW in the past and with them being mini sessions it seems to work awesome, I’m fast and move quickly so no-one gets too cold. Make sure to bring COATS for the kids even for in-between takes shots and umbrellas (if needed)!! Redwood Park has massive trees and is great even if its sprinkling, but in a heavy rain we will relocate but NOT CANCEL unless of emergency….

Worst Case scenario? If it DOES become unbearable, then you will receive EMAILS on the morning of your session! So please make sure to check your emails if the weather looks “iffy”.

What to wear: YES, this is the best time to start your shopping! Fall clothing is out in stores now. Pick a color pallet you want to work with and have some fun! Its ok to not be very “matchy”, but its also very appealing to take your pallet and find fun ways to blend your family together. Pick 3 or 4 colours to work with. You dont all need to have the same colours! Pinterest has some great family photo wardrobe ideas, check it out!

Disclaimer

Mini sessions are in no way guaranteed. You are given 15 mins with Lisa only. Lisa makes every effort to work with your family and kids, but she can not be responsible for members who are not cooperating/smiling for photos, this includes fussy babies, toddlers who will not pose, teens who are stinky and miserable husbands. Please also note anyone saying, “oh but you can just photoshop that right?” will get a pinch :D

Mini session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start. Yes these are quick session times, but as you can imagine with up to 24 slots in a day, and between 24-72 kids, babies and toddlers coming and going the unexpected can and does happen. Please be patient and do not interrupt the current session. We are all moms, dads, and guardians, we all know that things happen. Please allot at least an extra 30 mins before you need to be anywhere else after your session time. Thank-you for your understanding.

 

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids!

A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY. BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

YES- You can bring treats and bribes for children to earn during any portrait session. (Husbands love fruit snacks too!) PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary and when EARNED! DO NOT give your children anything that you can not take away from them. Please just keep this in mind when you are booking mini sessions. All finished photos will receive editing, but not retouching or extreme measures such as “swapping heads” ;), please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol)

*Please note that our turn around time is approximately 2-3 weeks but sometimes longer if we are very busy or there is unforeseen cicomstances. GLITTER SESSIONS!!!!!! What???

 

I don’t know about you guys, but I could definitely use a lot more “sparkle” in MY life right now…

And what better way to beat the winter blues, then to create magical memories with that sparkly greatness… 

I know I am probably going to regret this later on when I am cleaning up several pounds of glitter for the next year,

(and you guys will be washing it out of your hair for a few weeks,

but damn, its gonna be totally WORTH IT!!!

 

 

So, since I have not done these myself yet, and we are just in the planning stage,

I have snagged a few examples that I am using for INSPO! Ive decided that I will dedicate 3 weeks of SPARKLE TIME for EVERYONE!

 

 

EVERYONE is welcome!!! Moms and kids, granny and her bestie, anyone do wants a chance to shine and sparkle!

 

These will make amazing MOMMY and ME sessions as well!!

I could not find any other examples of moms and kiddos playing with glitter,

so I will definatly get on doing some sneak peeks ASAP! 

(After V-day anyway!)

 

 

And lets not forget about our little heart throbs!!

Sun Set Shmimmi Sessions!

 

Summer means sweet, sweet sunshine….and we are ready to squeeze every last drop of that sunny goodness out and into you and your loved ones!!

(Ummm that may have sounded better in my head… lol)

 

Anyway….

This summer “Sun Set Session” is for EVERYONE!!!

Families, maternity, pets, kids, (cosplay??), I don’t care!! Come out and play dammit!!!!

 

(We have no fun at all, do we??)

 

So here is the details!!

When:  These are “on demand” bookings that will be held in the evenings for the Month of August, and the first two weeks of September between 5:30-8pm.

I am opening up 2 evenings a week for these 25-30 min sessions.

These won’t be FULL sessions, but also NOT “mini” sessions, I think we shall call these shimmi sessions!

If you would like a full family session, please inquire at bookings@lisamariephotography.ca

Where: Blackie Spit at Crescent Beach 3136 McBride Ave Surrey BC. (other locations can be discussed, but may be an extra fee)

Meeting Place: We will meet up at the very last gravel parking lot on the far west end by the wooden fence :)

**NOTE** August 14th-19th Beach House Theatre is on location so if we are shooting on those dates, we will change meeting spots to the first GRAVEL parking lot, but the North Side Path entrance, its just behind the sailing club.

Recommended attire: This is a perfect time to dress in all whites if you have them, mixed with some jeans and fun pops of colour….

Summer, flowy, rolled up jeans, if the timing works out we are right beside the beach as well and can try for a few shots there :)

 

Cost, Fee’s and SPECIALS!: Sessions are only $275 for up to 5 members, $25 per extra person. AND, if you book with another family on the same day/time I will give each family $50 off! ($100 savings!)

Arrival Time: Please arrive only 5-10 mins prior to your shoot time given booking, not much earlier please. I can often be running behind at times, so patience is appriciated. Late arrivals will cut into your session time if I have other clients waiting, so try to keep that in mind. If I am running behind, you will always get your session done!

Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Session time: 25-30 minutes (Session times are approximate. Sometimes I need a little extra time, and other times, I have more then enough in less time! Just keep that in mind :)

Includes: A full viewing gallery of the best photos and your choice of 10 final images delivered high Res, via downloadable gallery to your email address.(more images available for purchase when viewing gallery is sent.)

Who’s included: Immediate families only please. Groups of up to 5 members per session. If you are planning to get extended family involved, please inquire as to how you may book back to back sessions or there is a fee of $25 per person. *

Sunset is a great time to add some fun fire flies to your family or kids photos :)

Please let us know if that is something you would like to do! 

If you would like to add some firefly magic, this is an add on, The cost is $175, and will include some extra time for your session, props, post addition of fire flies,

plus your choice of 2 firefly images (in addition to the 10 in your shhhhmimmi session;)

Huck Finn Fishing Minis

SO many of you have been waiting for these all year. We only had a few days last summer, so I hope you can make it out this time!

 

 

Thats right Moms and Dads, Huck-Finn Inspired Sessions ARE BACK!

(note, I did not write MINI session!)

These can not BE “mini” sessions.

They are an experience!

Instead of the typical 15-20 minutes, we have allotted for extra time this year. Expect to be there for at least an hour or so!

Last year we found there there is just too many props and fun things to enjoy and play with to rush through these,  so be prepared to come a little early, to dig for worms while the session ahead of you is being shot, and stay and hunt for tadpoles after!)

We all know that girls have so many ways to dress up and play. As a #momtographer of all boys,

I am always looking for different ways to come up with creative sessions that boys can have fun with too!

And these are just as much fun for girls as well!

 

 

I am absolutely in love with these as I am sure you are too!

 

 

We have built our very own private dock, and fishing poles. Everything we need to play at the fishing hole over in South Surrey at Crescent Park.

 

 

 

So here is the details!!

When:  We are setting up for the day on August 26th & 27th 3-7:30pm

(If there is anyone interested in a third date on September 16th, then please ask to be placed on the waiting list. If there is enough interest, then we may add the day!

Who’s Included:: Up to 3 siblings per session. More children, will need more time. But dont worry! To make it easier for families and friends who want to get kids together, we decided

If you want to book back to back sessions for more time and photos, you will receive a family discount of $50 (total) when booking at the same time!

This can then include other friends or family as well. Each session is meant for immediate family members, but we will do group shots if you book together!

Where: South Surrey, Crescent Park Pond 3136 McBride Ave Surrey BC.

 

Recommended attire: Little boys and girls should think jeans, jean shorts, and PLAIN white or light coloured t-shirts, sleeveless or no shirt. Barefeet, sandals, SIMPLE sneakers, converse, dirty feet and grass stained knees are OK ;)

*Absolutely NO florescent colours, and I strongly recommend not to wear anything with logos or character clothing*

PLEASE make sure you bring a TOWEL!! This is a real pond, and real water! Playing IS ENCOURAGED when working with Lisa Marie, and sometimes playing can mean clean up!

 

SESSION FEE and SPECIALS!: Sessions are only $245 

BUT, if you book with another family on the same day/time I will give each family $25 off! ($50 savings!)

 

Arrival Time: Please remember you will be walking to the pond, BUT do not arrive TOO much more then 5-10 mins prior to your shoot time assigned. I can often be running behind at times, so patience is appreciated.

Late arrivals will cut into your session time if I have other clients waiting, so try to keep that in mind.

If I am running behind, you will always get your session done! Please make sure you bring an activity like colouring or a game, as well as water and some non-sticky snacks.

Sessions can run behind from time to time especially when we have lots of kids, props and water! We want you to be prepared :) Please read the disclaimer below for more ways to help prep for your session!

Please note if you do arrive early to be respectful of the clients in session. Kids can be distracted quite easily by on lookers and other children. So a mindful distance is appreciated :)

Session time: 20-40 minutes (Session times are approximate and no guarentee, Sometimes I need a little extra time, and other times, I have more then enough in less time!

Lisa Marie’s personal tips for successful sessions with kids!

A few days leading up to the session practice taking photos with your kids! But DO NOT make it a chore. Just have FUN with it. Show them the photos immediately. DO NOT make them pose. DO NOT make them say CHEESE. Encourage silly faces and sad faces and PLAY.

BE IN THE PHOTOS with them and be silly!!! If you can, have the camera or your phone on mirror so your kids, babies and toddlers can see themselves in the frame.

YES- You can bring treats and bribes for children to earn during any portrait session. (Husbands love fruit snacks too!) PLEASE DO NOT give your kids “treats and bribes” prior to the session, these are magic weapons and to be used when necessary and when EARNED!

DO NOT give your children anything that you can not take away from them. Please just keep this in mind when you are booking mini sessions. All finished photos will receive editing, but not retouching or extreme measures such as “swapping heads” ;), please make sure your kids are TATTOO free (big pet peeve lol)

Disclaimer- Mini sessions are in no way guaranteed. You are given session time with Lisa only. Lisa makes every effort to work with your family and kids, but she can not be responsible for members who are not cooperating/smiling for photos, this includes fussy babies, toddlers who will not pose, teens who are stinky and miserable husbands! Please also note anyone saying, “oh but you can just photoshop that right?” will get a pinch :D Session can run a little behind at times, if you are waiting for your session to start please be patient and do not interrupt the current session, we are all moms and dads and know sometimes other little ones need a little extra few mins at times and no one wants any kids to be left out. Allot an extra 15 mins after before you need to be anywhere else! Thank-you for your understanding.

Please note that our turn around time is approximately 2-3 weeks but sometimes longer if we are very busy or there is unforeseen circumstances. Holiday themes are always delivered prior to the holiday but not guaranteed. Lisa is full time shooting several days a week, and unlike some other companies, each image is edited very carefully by Lisa Marie. This does take time, so if you are unable to accept the turn around times, then its best you let us know if there is a special circumstance so we can let you know if we can get them to you sooner. This may mean that you need to find another photographer, but we will do our best to accommodate you :)*
